Is there a dress code?
Our dress code is "black tie preferred." We hope to see you dressed in your lovely tuxedos and evening gowns! We respectfully ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride: white, cream, and ivory. There is no need to avoid any other colors, but the bridal party will all be wearing black dresses.
How should we travel from the ceremony to the reception?
Let your travel be on us! We have arranged for a trolley to shuttle from the First Methodist to the Mayo Hotel starting immediately after the ceremony. We recommend taking an Uber to the ceremony as there will be no return shuttle service back to First Methodist.
Is there parking at both the ceremony and the reception?
If you plan to drive yourself, there is a large parking lot outside First Methodist Church. But we do recommend you arrive via Uber to the ceremony as we only are providing transportation from the Church to the Mayo.
Additionally, valet parking is available at the Mayo Hotel for $5. Again, we highly encourage the use of the ride share apps (Uber, Lyft, etc.) if you plan to partake in the open bar.
If I cannot make the reception at the Mayo Hotel can I still come to the ceremony?
Absolutely! When you go to the "RSVP" tab on our website and enter in your name, you will be promoted to answer whether you can attend the ceremony at First Methodist. Next, you will be prompted to answer whether you can also attend the subsequent reception at the Mayo. If you are unable to make it to the reception for health or any other reason we completely understand. We are thankful for any amount of time that you have chosen to spend celebrating us.
What will be for dinner?
A buffet selection of Italian classics will be available. For dessert we will have wedding cake. Please note that our wedding cake will NOT be nut-free as the cake is almond flavored. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Is there a hotel block?
Yes! See our "Travel" tab in order to book through the Mayo Courtesy Event link. We recommend booking early, the Mayo Hotel books quickly on the weekends. If you would rather stay somewhere else, there are many hotels within a five minute walk of the Mayo.
How do I RSVP?
Once you receive your formal invitation, you can simply RSVP right here on our wedding website under the "RSVP" tab. Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before September 26th, 2025.
Can we bring our children?
We love your little ones, but we respectfully ask that you enjoy our special day as a date night. Any child invited will be listed by name on your invitation and their name will appear when you RSVP for your family.
Can I bring a date?
We'd love to include everyone, but only guests who received a plus one on their invitation may bring a guest due to limited space. Additionally, some significant others have been explicitly invited by being listed by name on invitations.
Are you registered at any stores?
Yes, but please do not feel that you need to purchase a gift. All we ask is that you are ready to celebrate on November 1st! If you do wish to purchase a gift or donate to our honeymoon fund, please see the "Registry" tab at the top this website. Under the "Registry" tab you can find the stores we are registered at and an additional link that will take you to our BC Clark registry page. We recommend using a computer over your phone for easier viewing purposes.
